Is This The Death of The Eneloop? Whats to Become of OzBargain?

Highly skeptical but here we go "promises to increase their life by 800 per cent"

When we were kids We used put our flat batteries on the stove hot plate to charge them.

didnt have a hotplate, so i just pointed a 100w lightblub directly at and next to the battery ~30minutes

As kids, we sunbake them, and re-use. On a not so related note, some kids stick their tongues on the top ends of 9V batteries - they reckon it wakes them up.

Yeah the article points out many devices that have a low cutoff voltage like quartz clocks and remote controls. OzBargainers know to put cells on their last dregs there.

And remember that NiMh outputs 1.2v.
How many devices fail to work on them (not many!)

Although the inventor has clearly taken great pains to reduce the credibility on this product to somewhere near zero, I personally would have called it a Battery Wellness Calibrator just to make sure.

Nah, seems legit…same technology Brocky used in his Energy Polariser! For realsies!!! ;)

This product explained by an electronics engineering point of view. It's a long vid.

    • A true Aussie bloke who is in the industry.

Eneloop will easily pay itself off where as this scam will rob you of your time and money.

      • Yeap. This guy knows his stuff, although any trained electronics person could probably tell you about how shoddy the product claims are.

  • Lol, would not buy any product that uses disposable A batteries

  • interesting info here thank you

  • Surprisingly more to this than I thought, including some drama: theft of IP via a good ol' fashion smash-the-door office break-in.

Macworld covers it in greater detail, including the possibility of using it with rechargeables. But as the author says "Only independent testing will prove out all of Batteriser’s claims." http://www.macworld.com/article/2928997/batteriser-is-a-250-…

  • "extends disposable battery life by 800 per cent"

    I don't think that's right…

"had only used up to 20% of its battery life"
"what if you could instatly tap into the other 80%"

    80/20 = 4

    This extends life by 400%
