First you need to go to the site through a referral link to gain your $50 voucher. Please either use mine or another members rotating link. (Please see links below)

Now go directly to the newbies case of wine, click this direct link https://www.nakedwines.com.au/cases/customer-faves-case-mel.… - add it to your basket.

Now to activate your $50 voucher, click here https://www.nakedwines.com.au/wines/index.htm?sortWines=ascp… and add the cheapest bottle available, currently $12.49. The total should then go to $22.98 plus your delivery.

Delivery varies depending on where you live. Melbourne & Sydney are both $4.99, Adelaide, Perth & Brisbane are all $9.99.

Going on the “Angel Waiting List” is optional (not like the early days of NakedWines). They basically sign you up for a monthly deposit, If you don't want to join, simply de-select the option once checkout completed. This won't effect you getting the cheap mixed dozen!

  • what are the wines ???

None you can buy anywhere else. Some good winemakers though, you may recognise their names.

Google their names.

      • oh, they're cleanskins… (thus the name)

        • No, not cleanskins. Naked Wines fund the wine makers to produce their own wines (instead of working for some other winery) and the wines are sold solely through Naked Wines with labels that are not available in stores.

Not sure how they came up with the name Naked Wines.

        • @argonbay:

          OK.. thanks…

are there any independent reviews on the quality of these wines ?

        • +1

@jv: All Naked Wine members can vote/rate the wines they have purchased and the overall rating of each wine can be viewed when browsing the website. It is expressed as a % of people that would purchase the wine again.

Comments are also posted to a bulletin board so I guess they could be classed as independent reviews.

No ratings from the likes of Halliday though!

        • @jv: I think the intro case is better than your average case of cheapies and worth a try for the price.

Liz Richardson is making some good value for money wine.

Ashley Horner does some nice Organic wines if you are into that, taste nice even if you aren't.

Member prices range from $9 through to $32 per bottle. They offer a free bottle each month if you buy another 11 bottles. The free bottle this month is an Adam Barton "Rabbit & Spaghetti Clare Valley Tempranillo Mataro Grenache 2014" valued at member price of around $18 so depending on what else you buy this could represent a 10% saving.

  • I placed an order but looks like I was charged incorrectly. The total cost came to $49.98 at the last page for credit card details, however as I click "Confirm and Pay", I was directed to the confirmation page saying that I was charged $69.98 ($59.99 for the wines as opposed to $39.99). The confirmation email says the same thing.
I sent an email to ask. Tried calling but gave up after 5 minutes of waiting.
Does this happen to anyone else?

    • Have you or anyone else ordered from them before on the computer you're using?

      • @dazzywazzy
I'm quite sure that the answer for your question is no. Don't know if sharing the same IP address with other computers would create this issue.

The strange thing is that the total cost was correct until the last page.

If you haven't paid yet, try using a different browser if you can, see if that helps!

          @dazzywazzy:

Sadly I already paid. That was when I found out that I was overcharged. The $20 difference is the amount of the voucher, I was wondering if I had to do anything else to be able to use the voucher. But I'll wait and see what they say.

Thanks for your help though :)

@l1403l: Keep up updated on how you get on :)

        • @dazzywazzy: Definitely :)

        • @dazzywazzy:

So, Naked Wines said that the issue was with me using the $50 voucher from your referral link at the same time with the $20 introductory offer. The $50 one kicked in and the $20 one could not be used. They will refund $20 to my account and I'm happy about that.

They didn't explain why the charged price was not displayed until I completed the payment though.

Thanks again for posting the deal and discussing the issue with me. It helped a lot. I was freaked out a little bit :P

        • @l1403l: great outcome :)

  • Thanks. Did anyone catch the actual default wines being sent? I just clicked through and didn't see what there actually was and now can't find them. Guess it will just be a surprise when I get them.

It's hard to read, but I've added a screenshot to the description :)

  • Had the same issue as l1403l

    • Hope you contacted them. Not sure if you had the same issue but mine was with using the $50 voucher from the referral link at the same time with the $20 introductory offer. The $50 one kicked in and the $20 one could not be used. They will refund $20 to my account.
