Cheap oil if you're looking at flushing your engine before putting in something better.
Because its often a hydrocarbon and can thin the oil too much, or free up 'chunks' of sludge rather than dissolving it over time.
I do use them, but only at half strength.
If you want to clean you engine, simply use a Diesel rated oil (you'll notice they even say OK for petrol cars too; "mixed fleet" if you will), because these have a higher level of Calcium Sulfonate in them and will clean your engine over the entire course of the drain interval.
OK fair enough, good points there.
Don't be dummy and purchase this 4L container not realising it wasn't a 5L container like I did.
If you're looking at flushing your motor why not just add an engine flush to your old oil?
