Any special edition with figurines or post cards?
addition DLC not so appealing for game collectors…… since it's likely not going to be opened

        • Not on this title. We do have other ones which are Collectors Editions with all sorts of inclusions. See Rare & Collectible items on sellingoutsoon.com.au

Game has been on my "To Get" list for a while now, well done for another one to take of my list. To all those who said their hobby is collecting games…. I am with you…. between PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4 -1108 games and still growing and barely played 10% of my total collection

    • +1

Thanks danishcrab :) that's making me way too hungry…I'm imagining crab on a danish (don't anyone take that the wrong way, lol) Because, after games, it's all about food :)

Can I ask, while we're talking about collecting…if we had Sega Master System games, brand new and sealed from the early 90s, would anyone be interested?

      • +2

I would assume it depends on what the games actually are :) some are collectibles some aren't, for instance if you look for Rock n Roll racing on the SNES you would find that there is a market out there for it. (this game is not as popular on the megadrive)

If you had game and watches brand new sealed you'd be making way more money than new games or brand new SMS games hehehehe (check out some of the prices of used and battered ones on ebay, they aren't going down that's for sure)

I haven't looked to see what the trends are out there but i used to collect :), i have some game and watches (prize piece is my Zelda G&W boxed) .. but for instance i have a ColecoVision console, Atari 2600, SMS, Megadrive, SNES, N64, Cube, xbox, PS3, xbox360, Wii, PS4 then there's hand helds (GB (brick ones) DSi, PSP, PS Vita) …

Not many of those have games that are worth much, consoles themselves aren't worth much either :) but they are i'm sure very nostalgic for a lot of OZBargainers out there ..

i can ramble on about this so i must force myself to stop..hehehe

        • +2

Thanks for your entertaining response! Yes, R&R racing was a classic on the SNES, I actually forgot…thanks for the reminder…brings back great memories. Of course at the time, nobody really cared, at all! My question was aimed at people just like you :) because I've been following collector's habits for over 20 years now. You've got quite a collection going there! I guess one interesting thing is that there seems an inverse relationship between what is seen as a bargain and what is rare. Rare items may not fit so well on OzBargain, but it's often the same buyer. We've tried to provide tremendous value to people in this market, with our slightly off-beat suggestions, and proclivity toward the edge of the games industry :) so subscribe to our newsletter on sellingoutsoon.com.au to find out what strange thing we do next…

        • +1

@sellingoutsoon: :) Will do! When it comes to collectibles your correct its hard to say whats a bargain n wont do well on here, but like i said you can do well when selling using nostalgia ;) specially to gamers who grew up with the industry from late 80's to now

        • +2

@sellingoutsoon: kid Icarus on 3ds is a great game but also hard to get now. There could be some benefit selling that if you could get it cheap and offer to others. Maybe start up a poll asking about rare and great games with those that are interested.

        • @scud70: Couldn't agree more.

        • @dtnvong: Yes I remember Kid Icarus, probably before the 3DS version though, possibly as early as the NES? Games had to be fun before (insane) graphics were invented…. A poll is a great idea, actually. Now to facilitate that… :)

Been a gamer since the "Ping-Pong" with the old rotary controller on the faithfull B&W TV, I have an old original Atari 2600 but sadly the woodgrain style veneer is curled at the edges where the switches are… Loved playing Defender and River Raid(which I got when it first hit the stores around '82 or '83 and Defender a year prior. I still remember how excited I was when I got my Vectrex for Xmas and it still works. I am in my late 40's and still see myself playing and collecting for many many years to come.

        • +1

          @sellingoutsoon:
im not sure if ozbargain supports polls or surveys, however at work we used surveymonkey. What may be a good model is to poll users for a game you may have access to and depending on amount of people interested, add in your margins on top to that and you could provide everyone with a great bargain. Win-Win. :)

        • @danishcrab1869: Love your work danishcrab. We have a Vectrex locked away, apparently, as well as some other exciting gear. There is talk of a retro section on the site at some point, but I can't guarantee it. You said you've subscribed on our site to keep up with what we're doing next, so thanks for that, we'll keep in touch. Cheers :)

        • @dtnvong: Thanks Mr Vong, another excellent suggestion, greatly appreciated. Typically we can build a game, usually the high quantity is the challenge. But this is something that's been on the backburner for a while now. Let's see where it goes. Please let us keep in touch through our newsletter on sellingoutsoon.com.au — thanks!

  • Hi again everybody :) and thanks for your orders! Please subscribe to sellingoutsoon on OzBargain: remember to click on the little subscribe button :) so you'll get our best deals first!

Thank you very much :) Please subscribe to see our deals the moment they start!

        Already done!

  • +2

Thanks awesome price, this game had been on my must buy list for a while especially more so since the Kickstarter campaign for Bloodstained started.

I would be definitely be interested in master system games, as locally I don't see master system games that often so I usually have to resort to eBay.

    • +1

Cool, we'll see what we can do. They won't be on OzBargain though, as they're obviously remarkably rare being new and sealed and the cost will be commensurate, but that's what sets apart the true collector. Because there's nothing like owning the impossible! Please subscribe to our newsletter at Selling Out Soon so you can keep up to date with the next absolutely strange thing we do!

    • Hey Barf, can you turn on private messaging?
(It's under account settings, then messaging, then Allow private messages)
I want to ask you about some games.

  • +1

    Codes burned into my brain..
Kid Ikarus - PAKING PAKING PAKING
    Castlevania 2 - MSQC MVCW T3KU V2JC

Have all items and fully powered weapons for both.

If only this game came with DLC on disk as opposed to download. Not because I have download problems, but for the future. The vendors won't have the content available for download years from now. That's what's annoying these days if you're a collector.

    • Exactly. That's such a good point about DLC, I'll see what we can do about changing it in the future. Publishers want to be able to measure what you do, and know who you are, which is what they get out of it, but as games get older, we may be able to have it in a different format, if the volume is there, of course. Great suggestion thanks!

    • +1

unfortunately it's not going to change. The developer deliberately do so, so that the second hand value is lower. To preserve the brand new copy.

the worse of second hand copy is, you downloaded full patch including the DLC, but can't activate it. Wasted your download quota

      • You're right, for initial release. We're talking about re-release, whereby people will be new users, outside of the intended lifecycle.

  • +1

These guys are the best my last purchase came within 24 hours! Awesome keep the deals coming Rep!

    • +1

Wow, thank you! Anyone else have some nice compliments? I feel like Kim Kardashian, except my rear hasn't got it's own postcode ;)

      • I bet your butt is pretty cute though he he, Seriously Rep I saw you collect games and have a pretty huge knowledge base do you know of any games with ferrets in them? Or then again do you have ( as I saw on your website that you sell old and rare stuff) any old game system boxes, ferrets love boxes just like kids and it would be cool to give mine some old Nintendo or Sega boxes to go mad in?

        • Haha, not sure how to answer that! Ferret games, maybe in the future? There is a Goat Simulator thats getting a fair amount of attention :) As far as boxes, I'm not sure we have access to that sort of thing separately, unless it was being supplied with a retro console or game. It may be better to use another type of box. Because in our experience, original boxes can considerably increase the value of many games, as such we expect some avid interest in our new & sealed Sega Master System games which are now well over 20 years in vintage. These (and other collectables) will not be advertised on OzBargain, so whomever is interested, please subscribe to our newsletter at www.sellingoutsoon.com.au
