They're not bad… but i still think the pricing for a "gourmet" burger is ridiculous.
And free fries isn't going to fix that.
The burgers are similar prices to Grill'd but with more variety of choices. Agreed that it's a bit pricey but there is obviously a market for it.
Correct.
I only eat at these places if i have a 2 for 1 deal. Else it's just a rip-off, IMHO.
Prefer Burger Fuel over Grill'd.. taste is better but feels oilier though.
I prefer Grill'd, feel like I've had proper meal without burger belly and our local one has craft beers on tap :)
Burger Fuel is more old skool burgers and they are definitely oilier
Got my free fries tonight thanks donga100. I agree with both bchliu and whos your daddy. Depending on what I'm in the mood for, I might pick Grill'd or Burger Fuel. Grill'd burgers are more adventurous. Also they have more locations accessible to me so I'll probably eat there more often.
Counter chick had a Kiwi accent. Maybe a backpacker on a working holiday. :)
It was my favourite burger place when I lived in Sydney. They recently opened a store in Brisbane which I was excited about but it didn't quite live up to my memories. Still good burgers and might have just been because it was a new store the staff were still learning the products.
I really like them. Love the sweet potato fries and aioli
Had me at "free beer"
hahah then you noticed it was fries
Thanks. Cheapest burger is $9.90, though they are way nicer than Maccas. Burger + chips for $10 is a reasonable price for the nicer quality. Chips are always fresh when I get them, and bun is toasted just the way I like it instead of soggy.
plus they have doofers so you dont end up covered in burger
The best part is scraping out the leaked sauce on the doofer with the chips. It looks gross but it's damn tasty.
The newly introduced DIY burger at Maccas is not cheap either.. The last one cost me $14.95 with the chips and all. Biggest difference was the table service and that it does taste pretty good (especially the sweet bun).
This is what happens when you combine "Beer" & "Fuel" & set them ON FIRE! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mglUr-CD7F4
P/S: Where is JV on this?
Use to be a regular with these guys back in NZ. In Melbourne they don't have any. I haven't had one since 2011, damn!
burger fuel was my favorite in new zealand! Miss being able to eat it every week! So expensive but so worth it. no burger fuel where I'm from but this does make me want to move back to auckland ! Lol
Fergburger FTW.
Overpriced burgers
Are these guys any good? when I go past our local one its always dead but that doesn't mean it doesn't get busy or is not any good, maybe I'm just seeing it on bad days / times
