Past few months a few teenage boys come and banging on my door every now and then. I have asked them to stop many times. It keep on continuing. Now it is keep happening at night time. Is there any way we can stop them. I am not sure the whereabouts these kids . Since they are running it is very hard to catch them. Please advice.

They do it to piss you off… easiest way is to stop looking for them and they will eventually tire of it when they no longer get a reaction off you.
Otherwise, I suggest getting a guard dog. A guard dog with an axe..

Unless you can catch them and help them have a little accident (repeatedly) you just have to put up with them.
Being an arsehole as a youth in aust seems to be an accepted tradition these days.
Eventually they will either slip up and go for a govt holiday or get hooked on dope and forget all about you.Set an indoor camera up looking outside hence out of reach and just use it for peace of mind knowing that it is those kids again looking for cheap first life thrills… You can set it up to record and do what you think is best with the video… But just don't give them the reaction they expect from you. Don't yell at them etc… just silence.. Or you can … ummm track them down with chainsaws one each hand.. and "bang" on their doors…. or walls… j/k :)
After dark, set up small electric fence along the front of your property. As soon as they walk in, zap!
When I was a little turd we used to go knocking on random doors, it was purely down to boredom. If we got a reaction out of one of the people, especially a chase, it became the number one target.
Sounds like you're chasing them. I echo others here. STOP REACTING.
I am not chasing them. But they target me and elderly lady lives across the street. I am not sure because I am new to this area and I don't know much locals here
If you want to do something proactive, you could:
- Buy one of the out-door cameras on sale at K-mart at the moment for $19.
- Get the little buggers on camera.
- Take the footage to the local police-station and ask them who they are (I bet they are known to police).
- Take out an order (can't remember the name of it) which stops them coming on your property/makes it an offense to do so.
It's a bit of a hassle, but I reckon that would put an end to the problem.
Please dont do this - police resources dont need to be tied up humoring people who think 'knock and run' is one of the bigger problems facing society today.
Get a fake camera with a little red flashing LED above your door. Thats all you need.

We had the same problem. Our front door is right on the footpath (i.e. no front gate/garden). We also have problem with dog poo outside the house. We installed security camera, put up signs on the windows and near the door: 'surveillance cameras in use - images of offenders will be sent to the authorities for prosecution'. Problem solved. No more 'bogans' pressing the door bell/banging on the door/dog poo to pick up.
Just ignore them and they will move on…there just looking for a reaction.
