8 + 1 = 9
According to my calculator..
Fine calculator you've got there.
Link to calculator deal please, is it still live?
Jokes.
On a serious note, seen this deal earlier.. Dinner (including drinks) for the fam sorted for only $9!
Not much of a dinner - how about adding some nutrition :)
@Thrift:
Had the rest at home. It ended up being chicken, lettuce and mayo sandwiches. Not the most balanced meal ever, though there was no complaints.
If we want to get down to the value, including the extras it'd total to about $10 worth.
@dyl: I had the same thought when I saw the deal this morning. Chicken and salad sandwiches for lunch :)
I think 'bargin' is talking about just the chicken, as you don't have to buy the drink.
Perfect for lazy Fridays… or any other day.
its lazy saturdays
is it mandatory to buy a drink (for $1) to get the chicken for $8?
You can buy a drink for $1, you don't have to.
Nope.
Edit: Ninja'd
It does state in the tiny writing that both products must be purchased in one transaction.
Not mandatory to buy the drink.
Thanks Op, already at woolies for their $9 chicken this week but waiting in line i saw this post. put back the chicken and went to Coles. Now im drinking my coke =)
And where did the chook go?
The other side of the road.
I must ask why the chook did that…?
My friend used to have this for breakfast.
Then we would let of ripper farts for the rest of the day.
Roast chicken and Coke for breakfast?
Cool.
Not really cool lol.
He is going to die young.
At least he gets to eat roast chicken and coke for bfast.
@stevarja:
haha yolo
Does any one know what brand the chickens are? Lilydale, Steggeles or Ingham?
from the photo and my phone call it looks like its Coles RSPCA chicken
Thanks for the info…But I'm pretty sure Coles RSPCA chicken is outsourced from one of the major suppliers.
So if anyone cares where these chickens come from, there is serious mass production and some slavery involved as can be seen here
who has better roast chickens, woolworths or coles?
Woolworths
Woolworths. A lot better.
Costco!
Hands down Costco chicken: for $7.99 everyday price too If I remember correctly?
I remember reading something regarding Costco chooks: they make something stupid like 0.05c margin for each chook and Costco HQ are not looking at increasing the price.
woollies chicken tastes better than Coles !
Stopped buying woolies cooked chooks, lacked that vital ingredient of taste…..
Is Coles even worse?
They are both as bad as each other.
I'll take 4.
Any specials on dry white toast?
meh… not much of a deal when you own a butcher shop ;)
Wanna be friends? :)
Are you in Sydney? Pm me, special ozb rate on all meat haha
How convenient that the chicken is hot; ready to serve. And the drink is… oh, never mind.
(I assume)
Yes, hot and ready to, ummmm… not serve… :s
depends on the store, up until recently my local store has been having a huge bay of drinks in a cheese barge…
I saw in woolies the other day the chooks was $8. Is that the new regular price now?
No, the chickens at Woolies are $8 on Tuesdays only, the regular price on other days (in WA anyway) is $10.
In the words of Leelu Multi-pass "Chicken, good"
I think you'll find it's Moolti-parss.
I was in Coles this morning (Warwick WA) and there was no sign of this offer, the chickens were still at the normal price of $11.
Last time this offer was on I only have coles central nearby so decided to not try it. Now at Coles Central across from Flinders and it is heavily advertised despite saying here they're excluded what?!
EIGHT DOLLLLARS
