My hair dryer didn't work at it's full capacity in the US, and I am worried it won't work in the UK or Europe.
Is there a valid reason as to why it didn't work in the US? Is it not likely to work in the UK and Europe for the same reason?

US: 120V at 60Hz
AU: 230V at 50Hz
UK: 230V at 50Hz
EU: 230V at 50Hz
TL;DR US mains has half the voltage of elsewhere.
i recently used mine in the usa and uk, definitely worked fine in the uk
Depends on what input voltage it needs to see.
Aussie (and UK) are 230 to 240VAC, whereas US ones are 110VAC.
An Aussie one will probably work in the US, but slowly and minimal heat.
http://www.worldstandards.eu/electricity/plug-voltage-by-cou… will tell you what voltages and plugs you need in each country.
When we lived in Europe, my wife bought a 110 to 240VAC portable hair dryer for when we were traveling.
Adapters are cheap.
yes… fyi an ex of mine brought a hair dryer from canada to oz, plugged it in and it melted…
US = 110V
UK = 220V
So it should work fine in the UK, etc.
