My roommate is trying to sell his macbook air and I am considering to buy it as it may be useful for uni due to its small size. However I am not sure how much it is worth. The macbook is in great condition but after looking ozbargain I found that there was a sale last year for a brand new one at $500 and even a newer model 2013/2014. Any chance that deal will be back this year? Thoughts? Thanks! :D
yeah I was considering the lower AUD recently, in ebay it goes for around 600-700 but I feel that is a bit overpriced…roommate is willing to sell it for $500…I am just worried that I bought his and a magic deal like the ebay one appears again >.< …in that case I may sell his back i think… thanks anyways!

The advantage you have is that you can see the prouct before buying, you know it works well etc. You dont have to pay delivery fees etc. If a store still has 2011 stock I'd be worried.
You have checked ebay and as you said the prices are 6-700 so you know the price your flatmate is selling this for is better.
I just cant see what else you are wanting to understand. Gift horses dont always wait around. If I was your flatmate I'd tell you to go jump!! (Well may be not that harsh, but I wouldn't say no to any other person who might like to buy)

Haha rocky raccoon, I was considering that I may find a new MacBook Air for 500$ (Delivered) again as it was before posted here. If so that would be even a better deal, new laptop, new model, and even cheaper considering cash rewards… I guess too much ozbargain receantly… I will take it and if find a better deal will try to sell it back hopefully for around $500 :)

Very little chance of that deal coming back. USD vs AUD is different for one thing.
Check on EBay for prices; there should be a few available.
