Rosewill RK-9100xBBR Blue LED Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Brown Switch - $95 (Shipping $9.95) @ Mwave

50

I own this keyboard and love it :) Good price for backlit mechanical keyboard with palm rest.

The brown switches are nice, there is feedback but not too clicky. Reminds me of the actual keyboards of old.

The palm rest is that sort of soft plastic feel? i like it :D and it's often not something included with the cheaper mechanical keyboards. I Have used the Rosewill brand before (big in America) and they are actually very decent quality imo.

Thought some people might be interested after someone posted recently another mechanical keyboard from mwave.

  • 10 dollars more gets you a Ducky if you pick up.

    • Yeah I've heard good things about the Ducky keyboards. No full backlight or palm rest though :( That being said those things aren't essential so whatever floats your boat!

      • Yeah, I have a Ducky Shine and to be honest, I don't ever end up using the backlights. I find that it is really obnoxiously bright at the bottom of my vision when I'm looking at a large screen. Even at the lowest settings, I can touch type so I have never needed to have backlighting.

Ducky keyboards are quite basic, I wanted to have a nice keyboard that I could play games on but at the same time take into work with me. Having a plain, simple and well built keyboard is great, whatever the brand. I would however recommend staying away from Logitech keyboards, I've never heard anything good about any of them, and the new Razer ones that have moved to their own Chinese made switches don't have great reviews either.

  • ducky >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ROSEWILL

    • personal experience with both keyboards?

      • own a ds3 and from the chatter on /r/mechanicalkeyboards

  • should note that this keyboard is worth 150 dollars, so it is indeed a bargain.

  • It seems making mecha keyboard is the most lucrative business in this industry atm.

I mean, I'm using a IBM model M that someone said to me worth $90+. Really dude? I got this for about $5 from a swap meet ~15 years ago.
