Dodgy Charcoal Chicken Joint

Hi guys, recently i had takeaway at a new local charcoal chicken and I am 100% sure they have used 1-3 day old chicken that was microwaved. The chicken wasn't hot enough and I could tell as the texture of chicken tasted different, it was very dry and the stuffing was cold. To make things worst, chips were old, fish was old and they also forgot the salad. (Cooked chicken but cold is also on the menu too but that is a separate deal they do.)

The other time I went here was good though everything fresh, cunchy chips and chicken was flavoursome and most tender chicken I had.

I am completely ashame that they pulled this dodgy sale as now they have lost a loyal customer.. I really had high hopes for this newly joint to do well as its awfully quiet.

This wouldn't have happened if I stayed in the stall and observe but I went outside for fresh air.

What action should I take? Or what can I do now? Or what would you do now?

Thanks

"now they have lost a loyal customer."

How could you be a loyal customer if they just opened and this was your first or second time?

I consider myself to be a loyal customer of a restaurant in Brisbane, but I have been eating there twice a week, most weeks for 25 years.

You got a meal that wasn't to your expectation. That is it. You don't actually know that the chicken was microwaved it just wasn't on par with your previous experience.

What action should you take? Either go back and let them know— NOT expecting anything, or with any sort of entitlement, just as a head's up for them if you did actually have "high hopes" for them. OR let it go… easy.

I believe there are support groups you can join…..

This is great news. As a lover of Charcoal chicken, I've recently had a traumatic experience at a joint in Auburn (Not EJ). The chicken was slightly warmer than room temperature when I received it, meaning it wasn't fresh and thus dry. I did still devour it; however, the thoughts of that lukewarm chicken will be forever burnt into my mind.

Or what would you do now?

    Move on with life

Start a class action, as only financial compensation will ease your trauma.

    Geez.

Some people should take a lesson in common sense. If you're not happy with what you got, go back and tell them. How they treat you then will be a true mark of good or bad customer service. Everyone makes mistakes, sometimes everyone produces goods that aren't up to scratch - that's life, you make mistakes too.

How they deal with those mistakes and how they treat you after you let them know is the most important thing. If they take it onboard as constructive criticism, then that's average. If they offer you something in return, like a free meal or a voucher or a refund, then that's very good customer service, if they don't tell you to get out of their store/start an argument with you, then that's very bad customer service.

Give them a chance and see how they do. It's not like this is rocket science.

Sue them for the bad meal lol. Then take the opportunity to think about all the times you had a bad meal at other restaurants and fast foods eg. Soggy unseasoned chips at KFC, oily burger at TGIF, dry pasta, lack of ice on coke at restaurant, and Sue them too.

In the serious note, they haven't committed a crime. You can leave reviews, move on with your life and never go back.

Unless the meal caused food poisoning there not much you can do but 3 day old chicken, microwaved is not good.

Realistically, an appropriate response would be fire bombing or shots through the window. If the stuffing really was cold, maybe kidnapping and extortion is not out of the question?

    • Finally, someone with some sense. A crime of such nature should not go unpunished. When would you like to tea up a pre-fire bombing meeting to further discuss?

      • I should just add a disclaimer that the above is just a joke, in case anyone may have taken it seriously - just as some people took the OP too serious.

        • So you are saying you're not down for the kidnapping?

        • @thorton82: Unfortunately with all these new internet privacy/meta data laws, and potential smart-asses a comment like this could probably end up getting your house raided. The internet is srs business now.

@trenbolone: Take the tin foil hat off dude, it is obviously a joke.

Set the place on fire then maybe, maybe the chickens will be hot enough
