Witcher 3 Controller for PC?

Hey, I just started playing witcher 3 on pc and coming from mainly playing fps/rts games am having trouble with witcher 3 controls.

Does anyone here play with a controller and how are you finding it? Also which controller is good? Are XB one and 360 controller similar when it comes to pc or is xb one clearly better than 360? (only own ps3 atm so would need to buy one).

Also looking for opinions on playing batman series with controller.

Thanks, seems like a better game to relax and play on tv rather than a desktop.

    Over on Whirlpool many are using controllers. Popular consensus is that this is how it was intended to be played. I'm playing on PS4 but I hear that the game works well with either. I don't believe Xbone controllers are wireless on PC yet so bare that in mind. A dongle is to be released later I recall.

    If you own a PS3, why don't you go try the controller in the game. You will need a program called motioninjoy.

    I agree with plmko, use your PS3 controller on the PC
    you will need;
    bluetooth on PC - can use a usb dongle - ebay around $8

    Yeah I've been using my Xbox one controller. It does require it to be connected via a micro USB cable though.

    Thanks for replies, hadn't crossed my mind the ps3 controller would be compatible. Will give that a shot for now and see how it goes.
