Music Streaming Online

Hi everyone.

I'm looking for good (free? cheap?) music streaming. I haven't used any music steaming sites before and hoping for some advice or someone to point me in the right direction of what to try. I know of spotify but is it good? Is it worth signing up for a subscription? Are there any other ones worth trying?

      Youtube is video, I think OP is looking for audio streaming for music.

          Does it work on your phone? Does it only download the audio stream instead of wasting bandwidth on video?

          cheapest mobile streaming going atm ive been on it for this cheap price since that post was started for Rdio.
          The mobile app for android is pretty good.

          Thanks Holden - thats awesome. Just signed up to this and started playing with the app. I think the Spotify app is nicer to use but this one isn't too bad and it's cheaper! The signup mentioned in that post still works.

    Spotify is free to use. You don't need to pay to listen to the online radio.

    Once you sign up that's when you get to play any song you want at any time and also listen to it offline.

      For other people searching for a good free music streaming service, that link has good information. It's the only link I could find that says which free services allow you to make playlists. Note that some of the information is now outdated, for example iTunes Radio no longer has a free option other that a 90-day free trial AFAICT.

    Spotify subscription is worth it IMO.

    With offline mode you can use it like a iPod/music player on your phone. Well worth 11.99 per month. Also I have a Sonos system and it works well with that for parties.

    Anyway sign up for a free trial and cancel it if you don't like it.
