$249 - including delivery or plus delivery?

Edit: It's AU$ 12.65 Australia wide so the actual price of this deal is AU$ 261.65

    • Did it show $261.65 for the checkout amount? It did list the delivery price together with the tablet but on the right side with the checkout amount, it was still $249. I wasn't buying so I don't know if the total amount would then change when you click on checkout to pay.

I just pressed checkout as guest and went to the 2nd screen where it asks for all your address details and on that 2nd page it has the $261.65 price

  • Which is better this or the CUBE T7 MTK8752 Octa-core 64bit 2GB RAM 4G for $230?

I would say the ASUS tablet. You get proper warranty, nicer design, slightly bigger battery, and a very strong Intel chip. I did not go find out all the benchmarks but personally I think I would prefer Intel than MediaTek. Not sure about CUBE T7 but apparently the MeMO Pad 7 has gotten Android 5.0 update as well. But unless if you really want the 4G capability then the T7 would suit your need

      • I just wanted to find out which is faster, I can't find anything comparing the 8 core MT with 4 core Intel.

The number of cores is not as significant as the chip structure (e.g. dual cores in iPhone 6 being on par with the octa core Snapdragon 810 according to benchmark).

I have the Acer A1-810 tablet with a quad core MediaTek and it's not as fast as the quad core Exynos in my Note 2, even though the MT is powering a less than HD screen. So that's why I said I would trust Intel's new chip rather than MediaTek's.

Or try searching harder. Surely there are models with similar MT 8 core chips with benchmark results to compare with.

Edit: Ok, found a video doing AnTuTu benchmark on the Cube T7 where at the end of the video you get to see the score compared with other devices. It's below S5, between MI 3 and Nexus 5.. https://youtu.be/tnFrpRUE7Ts?t=1m30s

        • In raw performance they are about the same. Intel Baytrail CPUs are about as good as snapdragon 800s and with the powerVR GPU they usually get around the 40000 mark in antutu the cube t7 is about in that range as well.

        • @nanoronline: Ok Thanks

  • I got the last ozbargain deal for Asus tab me302c or something like that. Great tab, excellent battery , no lollipop

  • I've heard app compatiability issues with Intel chips, so that may put some people off.
That being said, I think this tablet is very decent in terms of bang for the buck.
