    So, what happens after the 10 GB data transfer is used up?

    Is this a (potentially) hidden fee?

      There are no hidden fee's however if you hit the limit your website will be automatically suspended until your quota resets (done on a calendar month, you will be notified) or you can upgrade to a paid account.

    In most cases as with shared hosting if that is what is offered, the speed of the website being processed to visitors would be limited. (slowed down)

      So it seems like a lot of effort to try to move one of my .com.au Wordpress websites from Dreamhost, because it won't even be on enterprise equipment or optimised. Could it save more than 300ms loadtime?

        Our free servers are still enterprise grade, but what you probably care about more is that all our servers are based in Sydney, Australia. Where as I believe Dreamhost are in the US and you'd be loading from one of their servers from the US.

    I am planning to get a website that will get very limited hits. mainly for information about opening times etc.

    I will also want the website to get emails.

    Any comments in term of website design using this website host? Any limitations with a web designer using this host? Will I be able to use it as my email server?

      Our free account comes with 5 email addresses so this shouldn't be an issue. Note though that emails also count to your storage and bandwidth quota.

      You will need a domain name to use our web hosting, but you have the option to use an existing one and just point it to our servers, or purchase a new one.

      With the free package you don't get any add-on domains, you can bring your own, or upgrade for add on's.

    Switchhost, I see that even if I choose update my own nameservers with my chosen domain name, your form still insists on starting the domain with www. Why this requirement?

      The www. in the order form is only for example purposes. If you're updating your name servers you will need to enter the domain in the format of "domainname" . "com.au"
