that's an awesome price…we use these in our office. does the discount apply if I purchase multiple chairs?

    • +1

You can buy as many as you like for this price! There is no qty limit. If ordering a few units contact us directly for the best possible shipping price.

this is "aeron inspired", read "copy", not the genuine article.

  • nice looking chairs

  • How well will these fit someone who is 6+ foot?

    • +1

I had to get a chair for the office as my one was deemed too short for me (I am 6 foot 8). After trying about 20 chairs I chose a chair very simmilar to this one. Only change I had to make was to change the the gas lift thing to the biggest one. It is very comfortable and I love the fact you can lean back and put your feet on the desk.

These chairs will be fine for someone who is 6+ feet high. The head rest is height adjustable and you do have the option of removing it all together if you like.

$90.00 shipping to Perth is a bit exxy. Mojodirect ship to Perth for $31.64. Are these sent assembled?

    • +1

These chairs are shipped flat packed and require assembly upon receipt.

  • Is this really a good price? Aside from the head rest and more options for adjusting bits and pieces, what makes this $200 chair better than their $89 chair? http://www.milandirect.com.au/shop/office-chair-mesh-ergonom…

Incidentally, 1-day has the same chair for $70 today (and only $6 shipping to Sydney versus $13 at Milan)

Website such as "1 A Day" can be pretty good places to find a bargain. As always - take note of their terms and conditions. The specific deal they have offered is for a slightly different chair as ours includes a lower lumbar support cushion. We sell thousands of office chairs across Australia and we specialise in what we sell which means we will be here to offer customer service support that is relevant to your product.

When comparing office chairs you need to take into account its durability and comfort level over a long period of time. If you spend 8+ hours in an office chair it is ideal to spend a few extra bucks to ensure you are comfortable.

I bought a chair similar to the one offered on 1-day (got mine from dealsdirect), and for what it is, I can say that the $200 is justifiable due to the adjustability.

The 1-day chair or Milan's $89 dollar chair is only height adjustable, whereas the $200 chair has adjustable seating angles, height, armrest and headrest, not to mention the lumbar support as well.

Mesh or no mesh, you will find similar if not bigger price differences when comparing with normal cushioned/leather chairs - people pay for customizable comfort.

  • geeez expensive, how much normally is it?

    • Standard price for this chair is $229.00 - On sale for $199.00

  • Any reasoning as to why shipping to ACT is so ex-orbitant $70? In addition I found shipping rate for a $89 mesh chair cost $31.5 in shipping whereas this chair from what I can tell is a little bigger with the neck attached is double in price.

You think that's bad? I'm in Cairns and they quote $179.10 shipping! I'd buy it if the shipping was reasonable.

      • Gee that is bad… might as well check your local store…

  • Also would be nice if shipping for multiple chairs had some sort of bulk discount or even a pickup option in Melbourne.
Also would it be possible to test an assembled chair anywhere before purchasing?

  • i have one of these you are better off purchasing a proper ergonomic chair. Looks great in the pictures but the novelty wears off

  • I want to get this chair

    http://www.milandirect.com.au/shop/office-chair-management-e…

    any discounts on that? ;)

  • What's the quality of the seat cushioning like? I had an Officeworks executive chair padded with cheap foam that flattened within a year, which taught me to be skeptical of bargain office chairs.

nothing special….. $30 discount on a $230 overpriced chair is nothing worth to be posted here! Please remove the thread.

I'm surprised at the number of positive votes here, for what is a very small discount. I'd also caution people against buying something like this without seeing and testing it first in person; it's not exactly cheap, after all, for something not made by a reputable manufacturer (it is unbranded, and most of the other stuff Milan Direct sells are unlicensed/unauthorised knock-offs of classic designs). I've seen Milan Direct furniture before (bought by a friend) and thought the quality was pretty poor.

FYI, Milan Direct is a business owned by the same man who owns Kogan. You may have heard of their relatively cheap televisions.

Be warned though, all the furniture you see on their site are essentially replicas of products designed by other companies (mostly European designers, hence "Milan").

Quality concerns aside, if you buy their products you are essentially giving money to a company that copies off other legitimate designers.

I, like everyone else, am always searching for a good bargain. However, buying from them feels unethical. They are pocketing money from other designers' creations.

    • I think their business model is ethically dubious and would never buy from them myself, but to be fair, this specific chair is one of the very few items they sell that isn't a copy/knock-off of an established design. It's described as "Aeron inspired" but there are significant differences in both form and construction between this chair and the Aeron chair made by Herman Miller.

      • $199 is not a justifiable price for a copied item and the "Milan" name is a bit dodgy to me. If your a top quality branded chair you wouldn't need to advertise "Milan"
I Liked the office hockey ad =]

  • they have a add below the main deal on this website where it says

    When you say "ergonomic"

do you mean compliant with AS/NZS 4438 and does it meet the Australian Furniture
Research and Development Institute (AFRDI) Standards?
