The GPU is a trick! GT820 is useless for gaming
Where in this post did the OP claim this was a gaming laptop ???
It's also useless for my high-end video rendering work, compared to my triple monitor desktop setup it compares poorly, it's not even 4K … damn this OP and his bogus claims
cough
Its a valid point, all too often retailers get away with making claims that laptops are gaming capable because it has a "MASSIVE POWERFUL 2GB DEDICATED GRAPHICS CARD" when in reality its just an 820m barely more powerful than the integrated CPU graphics and just a waste of silicon and battery life. It pays to let the less informed buyers know how useless the 820m is for gaming so they dont fall into the same trap.
Dammit jv you made me up-vote you again!
the laptop is poorly configured
first of all, 15" at 1,366 x 768 is a pain… moreso on an i7
why do i need a gpu that is slower yet uses more power than intel integrated?
and 1tb slow spindle HDD? and lenovo? lol
not enough negs in the world for this laptop
Then neg the deal because you found a better one elsewhere for the price. Post a deal post for the laptop that is better configured. All are an option if you really feel this is a bad deal.
Oh, hang on, of your 5 and a half year, 25 post history, only 1 has been a deal post. Ok, now I see why you can bag out someone for sharing what they thought was a deal.
i didnt bag out the poster
this laptop may suit someone i guess just not people here
why dont you cry more SJW?
@jv: if u weren't a gamer u won't need I7 CPU! You can just go for I3, market price roughly about 450-600, you save at least $150 in ur pocket!
The manufacturer always wants to play a trick by putting a rubbish GPU to fool the buyers who don't really understand the hardware of laptop. I posted this comment in order to remind people. Nothing else…
"Anyway, for this price u can buy a better laptop in MSY."
why not post which one is better then ???
@jv: told u in MSY, you have many more choices better than this Laptop!
Just simplily google "MSY"
@pzhon: Dude, you make a claim, you gotta back it up - otherwise you'll be dismissed as talking garbage.
It's not our job to go out and find the evidence to back up your claims, it's your job. So if you want to have your argument taken seriously, and not be interpreted disgruntled mutterings, show us a better deal.
@douglasac10: oh“` alright~ So this is the rule? If so I apologise it since didnt know that… wait me a sec i find a similar one.
@pzhon: Not a rule of the site, but it is a rule of common sense.
@Tuba: what i meant is to tell people not to be fooled by the hardware provided by AD.
Is this the same computer in this review?
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-IdeaPad-Z50-70-59427656-…
Good price for a 4th gen i7 with a basic GPU? Review says screen is pretty awful.
Also why 1366 x 768?
Why such low res! Eeek
Money.
im holding on upgrading my 5 years laptop until i get full hd 1080x laptop screen under $600
I like your style :)

About $90 less than the price matched price, i5 instead of i7, but 2 usb3 ports instead of 1 (still 3 in total), same hdd, same size graphics (haven't researched quality difference), same ram, same wifi
Someone comment on this please. We bought this for my Mrs from a deal posted at the same price as listed now about 3 months ago also at JB. If its a dud its too late since we own it, but I like to kick myself.
Ill note the graphics is odd, the machine uses Intel built in graphics for normal usage, and in some situations kicks the graphics card into play. Kind of annoying really. That and I still cant fly Win8.
Graphics is probably to preserve battery life :) I'm sure that can be changed in bios/windows settings
How does it compare to the Lenovo E450 which has FHD screen and $1 dock which gives you total of 4 USB 3.0 ports 3 USB 2.0 ports plus second display port? The E450 is easier to carry for 1.8kg. But it seems to be more expensive. Eg. I5-5200U integrated graphics, 1920x1080 screen, 8GB ram, 500GB 7200rpm HD plus dock = $805.
Use 5% off wish giftcards to buy JB giftcards and earn QFF points in woolies if you wanna buy in JB.
The GPU is a trick! GT820 is useless for gaming, while CPU is "U" series which is not powerful but saving battery life!
Anyway, for this price u can buy a better laptop in MSY.
