Activating Optus SIM card for Netflix

Hello folks, about 2 weeks ago I bought one of those half price ZTE's from Coles purely for 3months netflix. I received my code alright and everthing but then last weekend I broke my ACTUAL phone and bought the $250 Optus Prepaid Samsung Galaxy S3 from House of KMart.

I've just been using my Amaysim card in it, and thats all working fine and good but I'm wondering about getting another 3 months of Netflix.

I guess the question is, can I just put the Optus sim that came with my S3 in the ZTE to activate it? Or do I need to be using it in the the phone it came with? Is the Optus sim that came with the S3 marked as having come with a new phone?

    The optus sim just needs a phone to activate it it doesn't matter what phone you use.

      So Optus knows that that particular sim came with a new phone?

    yeah, I got my 2nd voucher and 2nd sim only ever went into the ZTE

    I stupidly decided to port over to the Optus SIM and now don't have any credit on my phone. If I port out before I get the Netflix code emailed to me will I still get the code?

      Should be right to leave just after you get the SMS to claim a voucher link
      I got the two of my SMS ~5pm, just 11h from [activation].
