  • Is this a typo?:

Promotion on our new location is valid until 11:30PM AEST, Friday the 15th of March 2015

Unless I have incoherently built and used a time machine, I believe it is May already ;)

    • Whoops - we are only human apologies for that - this is corrected :)

  • Another typo hidden in buzzwords:

Our high performance ZFS based 40Gbit Infiniband Onapp Cloud offers many flexible plans which are scalable, affordable and quickly deployed in a number of Australian locations , with New Zeland and the USA to follow.

    • Excellent - Thank you this is also been corrected.

I would highly suggest checking out https://www.digitalocean.com/ before jumping onto CloudIO.
While they aren't in Straya yet, cost half the price and a very well known provider.

  • Looks like you guys just launched today. Quite a few things missing. The Features section is full of marketing speak and the FAQ page seems to be mostly billing related but what about tech related questions?

    • What platform are you running? Xen, KVM or something else? ZFS was mentioned — are you guys using SmartOS?
    • Bandwidth / data cost? No mention so I presume it would be unmetred? At what port speed?
    • Hi Scotty,

      Thanks for your feedback :)

We absolutely have things we can improve on and will pass your comments onto our web team.

Our platform runs on KVM and we use CentOS as a base behind it. Additionally we have ZFS
Storage arrays which are built using ZetaVault.

We include 2TB of bandwidth per server for outbound and no limit on inbound. The speed
of the interface to the net is 100mbits. These have now been updated on the site.

The same RackHosting Pty Ltd which was formerly RackCentral?

    • Yeah looks like it's the case. Tweet from RackCentral announcing CloudIO.

    • One word 'Yikes'

Thank you for the link - made for interesting reading…

    • Hi Blockey,

Yes that was us - and we worked through the process and have come through the other side of it.
We are operational and investing into our business brands to be stronger and better than before.

We obviously cannot comment on what has happened, just be sure to know that there are 2 sides to
every story and if we had been as bad as made out to be we would not be operational now.

Look forward to having you on board should you try out any of our services.

      • Why can't you comment on what happened?
