Bought 1 pack of 4 AA this afternoon. Reduced to clear from Woolworths at Ultimo opposite UTS campus and Paddy's market. Still have around 10 packs and also AAA available.
Not sure if this brand is good or not. Energiser is selling at $20+ per 4xAA.

These are non-rechargeable Lithium batteries.
Huh. No wonder they're on clearance, who still needs high power AA?
Last time they were useful was 10 years ago for cheapie digital cameras.
Lithium batteries have a very long shelf life and are useful in places where you don't want to be surprised when the battery has no juice, e.g. a torch you keep in the glove compartment. True story: I had a lithium cell in an old film snappy camera which I probably haven't used for over 10 years. I was surprised to find it still had juice when I turned on recently. Lithiums also have more juice than alkalines. A pair that came with a digital camera powered it for over a year of frequent use.
Picked up some from our local store for $5.46. Handy for my weather station transmitter to save getting up on the roof as often.
Could of bought Eneloop's for that…
