Posting Parcel to London

Hi After some advice I want to send parcel from melbourne to London.
I have an Australia Post Box to place items
I think it will be heavy as posting short jacket with other light items.
Is Australia Post the cheapest postage or is there an alternative
This is for my son's 30th birthday he has recently located to London to teach.

    For overseas, I often find Skippy Post cheaper than AP, but not always. Worth checking http://www.skippypost.com.au/rates.php

    Just write STS on the package and chuck it in the post. No need to pay apparently.

    Postage might cost more than the cost of the items. Another option is to buy from Marks and Spencer or a similar online retailer and get them to post to him direct. Some retailers let you say it's a gift so it's gift wrapped with no invoice.
