My university items: a small notepad, phone charger, a blue pen and keys.

I think I might be doing this university thing wrong :L

Can't click and collect? You should put postage in title..

    • +3

Nah you can't c&c. You search which stores are in stock then you just head to that store :)

      • When I click through the checkout pages, it seems to allow me to click and collect from most of the stores in WA, it shows up in the checkout as Delivery/In Store Pickup Free.

      • Click and Collect works for me, made 2 orders

      • TIL That's how retail works. Been doing this internet thing too long.

limited stock is as good as no stock

  • ordered one for click and collect at Capalaba store QLD. thanks

Will I get smashed if I wear this?

    • Maybe if it's full of alcohol….

  • Ordered 1 for click and collect at Woolloongabba QLD, thanks

  • Blue available in store, Red call to confirm (Maribyrnong, Melbourne)

  • No stock within my range. Too far to go to other places to get it just for a $5 bag.

  • If this ones not available, you can try:

    https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/studymate-de… ($5)

    https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/tyvek-laptop… ($10)

Both seem pretty decent to me!

I'm not normally one to choose fashion over function but those bags are fugly.

  • Grey is best colour imo; too bad no stock near me

Nice.. I already have enough bags.. but for $5

  • Bought. Thanks OP.

  • Good deal, but no stock near my location. :(

  • Is this the usual price? If not, what is it?

    • I think it was $20-$25 when it was selling during the Back to School sales.

  • It says "Unaivlable Online" on the desktop website but I was able to add the item to cart on the mobile desktop for delivery… (not that I will pay $5.95 postage)

    Is this common for OW?

  • I bought this bag from my local Officeworks for $5 about two months back. I think they've been trying to clear it for some time now.

  • I got the red one. Thx OP

  • So hard to decide, such dilemma..

Bought all 4 colours for $20

  • ccwayne- which store did you get em from? - i just tried south melbourne - computer says they have 8 but they spent 15 minutes and couldn't find a single one :(

  • Good quality and outstanding at this price - just walked into Windsor (Brisbane) and got their last one - lime green and orange. very good buy. Nice post OP.

  • Getting out of stock issues now.

  • How much are they usually

    • They were $20 in January, $10 in March then down to $5 in April.
I bought two when they were reduced to $10 then another two in April when it was reduced to $5

Thanks, I was just trying to imitate JV haha.

But thanks for being so courteous in your response!

  • All but grey available this morning, only red available at noon. Called up and secured last two greens. Went in and picked them up early afternoon. Only green and red left, all behind counter presumably with OzBargainer's names written on them.

      Office Works, Garden City, QLD

  • What's the quality like? Is it made of cheap lightweight nylon that will fray?

The red one is in stock at the local Officeworks but I don't want to get one if the stitching will tear and the shoulder straps will drop off in a week.

  • Only about 10 red left at Mt Gravatt, Brisbane, at 3pm. Quite a few of other colours awaiting collection. Was picking something else up, so was curious.

Staff were mystified why there was a sudden rush to buy these after sitting on the shelves at this price for ages. Certainly look like rejects from the back-to-school sale. (Now if school children won't wear them…) One asked who wanted to use "such a hideous" item. I tried to explain the OzBargainer ;-)

But it's a fairly big (quite deep) bag for the price, the colour will be easy to spot, certainly not that light compared with day backpacks I take hiking, with inner divider to suit tablet or small laptop, and drawstring inner liner at the top. As for quality of build, I didn't bother assessing - you can't expect much at this price point.

I passed as I still have quality backpacks provided free in promotions that may not be as big, but they certainly are better looking (no way I would wear this), better designed / constructed, & have more useful zippered compartments (trying to find small items at the bottom of a relatively deep top-opening bag is no fun).

  • Thanks TRENT86 - grabbed 2 from Hornsby NSW (8pm 'ish) . There's a box of Green and a box of blue left.
