At what point do you let down your 'bargain guard'?
At what point do you say, "…fudge it, i'll just buy it."
I am at a crossroad here:
I've bought an item online, because it was cheaper to buy it there and ship it via a shipping company.
Let's say that the total expected price for shipping $50.
The shipping company (responsible for the shipment) is charging double of what I had been expecting, and I am convinced that they have made an error in their calculation.
Let's say that their calculated price for shipping is $100. Yes, double.
My options:
I can wait for up to two days for a reply from this shipping company, for them to provide a solution or explanation. From there, I (hope) can dispute their calculation, get it down to the correct $50. …and then apply a discount coupon to bring down the price further. If I fail this step, I would have wasted 2 days (and also have lost faith in humanity).
Or, I can get it now and apply a discount coupon, to get their $100 down to $52.
Not quite sure what to do…
If the shipping price can not be changed, what have you lost if you wait the two days? If nothing but time then I say wait
