So according to that website, the answer is yes OPO is compatible with 4G/LTE with Vodafone? Or am I misreading something?

Use that to double check if you are still unsure.
thanks mate - very useful
Can you get these phones now? :p
Yes, they are now available for general purchase as the invitation system has now ended.
CyanogenMod has formally severed ties with OnePlus (in favour of a deal with an Indian brand), so certainly not for long, or at all now, with CM pre-installed.
Pre-installs will be ColorOS only from the factory, irrespective of the intended market.
That's assuming that you're at all interested in buying, Mr. A. Martin Lagonda…
To be honest I would have had one a long time ago, but if I just cant go to a web site and order one with no fuss and without all that invite shit then I couldn't be arsed getting one and Ive been happy with my HTC One M7 and I also have a ulefone Be Pro which is "almost the same as a oneplus one just a cheaper version :p
One top of that the AU is shit and is making the oneplus one expensive.
\mumble ramblings :p
Possible alternative is Xiaomi :) a favourite brand of ozbargainers in terms of their other products.
Phone will work fine on Vodafone's 1800MHz (Band 3) 4G/LTE.
Vodafone didn't bid for any of the 700MHz spectrum that Optus and Telstra now have, which they both are, apace, rolling out all around Australia. (Band 28.)
Vodafone has refarmed a chunk of their 850MHz allocation (previously used just for 3G) for 4G/LTE (Band 5).
The OnePlus One can't access that, or Optus/Telstra 700MHz.
Hence, at considerable distance from towers - and if you want a reliable 4G connection - not ideal.
