15% off Storewide - The Totem - 2 Packs of Miracle Berries for $25.50

60
OZBARGAIN15

Due to the success of the last post, my friend has asked me to repost this deal. Same price. It would also be great to get some feedback of those who have now tried it! Happy to answer any questions on my mates behalf.

Went to my mates house the other day and had a try of this miracle berry, most weird sensation ever. Lemons tasted like orange and salt and vinegar chips tasted like sweet and sour pork.

My mate runs the store at The Totem and stocks these, they are running a promotion where you can get 2 packs for $25.50. They are over $17 each on ebay and $14.95 USD on thinkgeek. http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/ab3f/

Coupon is above and free shipping kicks in on any order over $20. All items will be dispatched within one business day and received within a week of purchase.

Let me know what you have tried these berries with! I've heard some people use it for dieting and to stimulate taste after chemotherapy.

    • Hi Dylan,

I am really sorry to hear this. Would you happen to have your original order number? I will go speak to my mate and organise for you to get your product plus a refund as I am sure it was an oversight, but I will make sure he rectifies the situation ASAP.

      Cheers

      • Dont worry, I got a refund. This happend last year. However was order #1975

Ahhhk. No worries Dylan, I will get him to shoot a pack of these berries to you anyways.

        • Hey Mate

Just letting you know that a pack has been sent out to your address starting with 9 in QLD.

          Cheers

@Justing197: Appreciate this, Thank you. Now this is customer service!

  • What miracles do they perform?

    • Giant beanstalks, money trees, basically any miracle you can think of…

Haha nah they turn anything sour, sweet. So think of a lemon tasting like an orange. Get creative and I am sure the miracles will be different for everyone.

      • As seen on "Midsommer Murders" …

  • Where are these made from? Packaging has both Chinese and japanese writing on it. I assume it's grown in Taiwan or china?

    • I think the Chinese and Japanese and packaging is designed to just add to the mystery. My mate told me that the Taiwanese company holds global patents on these tablets and any variation in packaging still yields the same tablets inside. Pretty sure they are grown in Taiwan though.

      It's from this plant http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synsepalum_dulcificum
I bought one once, but it died (no surprise). Even if it lived, it may not have produced any fruit anyway. Think it's betters suited to warmer climates than Melb.

    • Patents. Gahh. Ruining the fun for everyone. Maybe that's why they never seem to get any cheaper than $15 dollars for a box, because no other competitors can create a similar product.

Some amazon reviews suggest grapefruit, goat cheese (?), and Heineken beer.

I have tried these, though not necessarily exactly same brand/product. Suck on half a tablet for a while, then eat a lemon. Lemon tastes great and sweet. Though you'll begin to get some acid reflux from all that acidity.

I think the best use for something like this is to make really nice desserts (that are sour) and leave out all the sugar. Eg. lemon cream pie or something like that. Then you can enjoy your desserts sugar free. I remember that is what some novel cafe did in Japan that I saw on tv.

  • Great thanks.

  • Why does your friend recommend a full tablet yet thinkgeek says only 1/2?

    • I would go half to prolong your supply. Suck on them as long as possible, don't chew or swallow until you need to. That enzyme or whatever needs to coat your taste buds.
