Can anyone find me a deal on the Fujifilm Instax Share SP-1 OR any other similar products that prints instantly from a smartphone? The Fujifilm just looks good because I have so much Instax film already.
Cheap Fujifilm Instax Share SP-1
Comments
I have an Instax but just a few problems with them.
- Absolutely horrid at any distance further than full body length, the flash doesn't reach and the film is only ever exposed for a super short amount of time.
- Same problem with low light, anything under good lighting will either be horribly under/overexposed
- Hard to take group selfies with.
Actually I did a bit more looking and there's also the LG Pocket Photo Printer to look at. It's slightly cheaper than the Instax and the film appears to be cheaper too.
Saw this post and now I just have to have one of these printers!!
Anyone have any experience using one??
My one is coming in a few days, probably going to print a ton off when I get it, I'll give you a review when it's in.
Thanks soooo much! :) Where did you get it from and what price did you pay?
I've been reading reviews about the low resolution prints, but I'm not really concerned about the quality as much as I want a cool little device that prints photos for a family scrapbook
I got it from eglobal digital cameras as per the link above ^^^^
Paid 162 for it, if you sign up for their mailing address, you get $5 off. It was the weekend of free shipping so I'm not sure how much shipping is now. If there is a shipping charge, it ships from Hong Kong, so there might be cheaper places to buy it off.
Yeah, apparently the prints aren't terribly great resolution, but having used a Instax Mini 7s for about two years now, none of the photos come out with crystal clarity. There can only be oh so many pixels on a credit card sized primed film.
The quality of the photos will definitely be much better using a proper camera to take the photos before printing it off on this as compared to using an Instax camera. The price is only ~50 more than the Instax Mini 8 as well, so it appears to be a great deal.
A few tips I've read myself, apparently for the app the Facebook/Instagram connectivity is absolute garbage so just download it to your gallery and print it from there. Also don't throw out the user manual when you get the box because the wifi "password" or code will be on the manual.
@smileymiwo: thanks for the tips, will do some research on price! Would love to hear what you think when printing a camera photo. I was thinking of printing out photos from my DSLR.
@smileymiwo: have you received your printer yet??
I will be buying my instax share printer this week! I'm so excited! This printer looks like so much fun!!
I'm just wondering whether you will buy rechargeable CR2 batteries and charger and where you purchased them from, and/or will you buy the power adaptor?
Thanks!! :)
Totally forgot to reply sorry!
Bought a power adapter, it runs off my Xiaomi power bank, CR2 batteries are just too expensive.
I am very very pleased with the printer, the app works well, the images aren't the most colour accurate etc etc but for photos with friends and family it is amazing.
@smileymiwo: glad you love the printer!! Sounds like so much fun!!
I'm completely new to power banks, so I was just wondering whether you had to buy a specific xiaomi power bank to go with the power adaptor. Does the power adaptor go between the xiaomi and the printer?
I found this blog that recommends snapseed for the photo editing, here
http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/54554372@imissbeans: are you looking to sell your instax camera?!
Gave it away to a friend, no need for it any more!
A quick look on Static Ice brings up this for $167.
The banner on the website says free shipping on orders over $150.
Beats the standard Target price of about $300.
I've been looking at these but considering the price I think I'll just stick with my instax camera.
