Multimeter to Test Washing Machine Parts

Hi guys I want to test the element and thermostat on my Bosch WFO2060AU/01 washing machine. So Im going to buy a multimeter tomorrow, my question is will this one do www.bunnings.com.au/sontax-1000v-digital-electric-multimeter… or do I need some other one? This is the only one that bunnings have but jaycar, supercheapauto etc got loads of other ones, I just have no idea what the diffrence is!

    ive had this one for years, it works fine. just make sure you know how to use it - youtube

    also dont turn the dial when attached to power, it fries the device

    i'm assuming you want to measure resistance? in this case the multimeter is adequate

    don't measure anything when the machine is plugged in unless you really know what you are doing …
