I neglected to do taxes from a few years back due to personal reasons (I'm an idiot).
Anyone got a recommendation? Single job not that much investments, desk job at the time so not much claiming?

Doing your own tax would not be that based on the information you have provided. Probably easier than going to an accountant.
i thought etax was only available if it was done within 3 months of the end of the financial year you are doing your tax for? i dont have anything to back this up, just something someone said once (was not an accountant, so was probably wrong).
if you are in a refund position, might as well do it yourself. if in a payable, you might have interest owing to the ATO and would be wise to get advice from an accountant.
How do you do previous years via etax? Do you need a separate version of etax for each year? I need to do about 4 years worth of tax returns and i thought etax was only for the current year, and you had to use the paper forms for the previous years?
From the ATO website:
"You can't lodge a prior year tax return online using e-tax."
"If you have a copy of the prior year e-tax software, you can use it to prepare your tax return before printing it and lodging by mail. We are unable to provide prior year e-tax software."
Thats what i thought. Doesn't matter, the paper forms are almost easier than etax haha
