These are crap. Bass over power the highs, making the treble muffled. Phillips ~~Downtown series~~ SHL4500 will sound better.

As Amar pointed out a lot of low-end Sennheiser headphones are pretty poor value.

  I am incredibly biased (after having "seen the light" and snapped out of my "but it's German!" cognitive dissonance), but I honestly can't remember the last time I used any of the 7 different, budget Senny cans I have in various drawers that I've been meaning to flog on Gumtree for some time now.
  
  The sub-$100 Sennys are all pure garbage from my experience and I'm not willing to part with anymore money to confirm my already reasonable suspicions.
  
  This doesn't reflect on their higher-end stuff; but Sennheiser do love to ride on their coattails and the mythology of German-made/engineered sound.
