  • These may come in handy for washing all the nappies resulted from the previous groupon deal.

Slightly off topic, but has anyone else switched from tablets to powder?

I used to use Finish tabs like these (and keep an eye out for deals like this!), but for the last year or so I've been using the powder from Aldi. Seems to get just as good results as the Finish tabs did, and fairly cheap too. Dishwasher is an older Asko unit.

I also had issues once or twice when stocking up on tablets that they would somehow get moisture in them, so that when you were getting towards the bottom of the box a lot of the tablets were unusable.

Anyhow, good price for a massive stockpile of tablets.

    • Packaging is re-sealable. You must have damp cupboards. Mine are below my kitchen sink and I don't bother re-sealing the bags. Never had a moisture problem.

I switched to powder too. Much cheaper and you can also adjust the dose if you're just washing a few things etc

Oh. They're Classic not Quantum. Otherwise I would've been tempted.

    • What's the difference?

      • Quantum is clearly better, it's in the name.

To be serious; I found that Quantum wash better than Classic, it's as simple as that. I tried about 20 tablets of Classic and just wasn't happy with them.

Aldi sell their own brand. Got some today.
. 17c each tablet for the regular and .20c each for the premium. Both are dissolvable wrappers.

Never tried the regular ones from Aldi, but have tried the premium and I don't find them anywhere near as good as the finish quantum.

Regret Shop sell finish all-in one and classic - 156 pack for $30.

I think you mean "Reject Shop"?
never heard of "Regret Shop"….. :P

      • It might be like Buggerings or Hardly Normal. There are plenty of spoof names for businesses.

  • Caveat emptor. Groupon are pains in the ass. They renig on deals and I've now had them insist I need to send bank statements to them. These guys can piss off! No deal with them is worth it.
