Why are there so many lame "bargains"

There are so many so called "bargains" on this website that not a bargain at all.

Item RRP is $1000, now it's $299. Wow what a "bargain". But it has always been $300 on ebay. So WTF is the point of posting it…

    People only care about quantity not quality in the bargains they post.
    they want there bargains posted to be high it seems.

    then there the newbies who don't really know how good some bargains can get.

    There are a few that post's a lot of bargains and are all VERY good.

    Because if everyone was like you and never posted any deals, there wouldn't be any bargains for us to pick to pieces

      yeah because we have lots of free time to check "bargains" on ozbargain with always on "bargains" on ebay

        Not sure how you think a "community" works, but the idea is you contribute a little to benefit the group as a whole.

    can you link some examples of these bargains ?
    generally those types of bargains get down voted, i have not seen many recently, so please do show some examples that where accepted by the community.

    Au dollar is down. A year ago there were many Amazon etc deals that were all time lows in AUD. Now they are all 30% higher. Same obviously is true for local sellers of imported goods.

    Well, how many top quality bargains have you posted? ZERO. In fact, you haven't even posted a lame deal. You haven't posted any deals! Can you imagine what OzBargain would be like if nobody posted anything, ever?

    It's not fair to criticise the deals of this community when you don't post any deals yourself.

    I wait for the email of top-ranked bargains… miss all the short-term deals to the real bargainers sifting through them overnight, but I'm a bottom feeder I guess

    Noone is forcing you to be here. Noone is forcing you to be a part of this community if you don't want to be here! How about you just go back to ebay until you're prepared to realise the world doesn't revolve around YOU?

    Instead of complaining about poor performance by others. Feel free to show them how to do it properly and start posting good deals.

    Then we all benefit.
    - more deals
    - less whining
