Hi all, looking to buy a new TV and getting very frustrated with the lack of value out there in the major brands. Looking for a 55" plus TV and seen the Kogan 55" Agora 4K LED TV for $1,099 or the 65" for $1,499. The specs look decent and on first inspection they look like decent value.
I have read some review and the major downside is the clunky interface and remote control, all I need is a dumb TV as I have Apple TV and Raspberry Pi running XBMC and I use a Logitech Harmony remote so that is also not a problem.
Does anybody have first-hand experience or own one of these TVs, what are they like, are they worth buying? Any comments would be appreciated,
if you definitely will never use it for computer monitor then should be fine.
I have bought two items from kogan, once broke, one is good price and going fine (mech keyboard) they gave me a $35 voucher for the kettle that broke, it was quite a painless experience, just asked for a photo of the kettle with cord cut and then sent me voucher.
search TV on here look at expired deals and see what cheapest name brand 4K 65~ TV has been, and maybe hold out for one if you can get at the same price. it is alot of money to spend on a possible lemon.
but i was looking at the 42inch 4K from them and all the bad reviews for basically just for the smart TV aspect. nothing bad about the picture quality.
I bought a LG 4K Tv from a deal on here for ~630 but it is not 4:4:4 chroma and doesnt have DP in so abit unhappy with it as a PC monitor, but for a TV i think main thing is just the quality of the panel. try search some youtube reviews or something.
I know im not giving the best info but hopefully helps a little bit.
