In light of the "How to Get Back Money from People Who Owe You?" thread…
I'm wondering, to what lengths have people gone to in order to skip paying what they owe? Be it to a company or individual.

EPIC dude!
None I hope. People should always pay their debts.

I owed my old employer money. They kept on paying me after i resigned.
They got debt collectors on me so I said I would pay them back $200 a month (for a debt of ~$7000)
When the debt reached around 60%, I lost my job and I said I would stop payments until I found another job. I found another job but didnt contact them.
They got debt collectors on me again but I told them to "please stop calling me, my preferred method of contact is post". They never contacted me again.
Also when debt collectors call you, they always have to confirm you identity first (so they dont discuss your personal debt matters with someone else).
I never confirm my identity until they confirm who THEY are and what the call is about. This always pisses them off and I really enjoy the back and forth banter until they admit they're a debt collector and I say "please dont call this number".
haha
