Just went to Doncaster, they have quite a good range. A lot of things are on paper tickets that you take up to the counter. I bought 2x Cooper, but they has Kombi, Mindstorm, Opera House, Volvo Bulldozer, and some other big sets. Maybe check again?
Myer also have buy one toy get 50% off the 2nd (and this comes up frequently). Not to mention the have a decent range of Lego.

Myer do have a 20% off all lego though I think going on at the moment.
5% less than this toys r us deal but perhaps better range and you only have to buy 1 item. You'd probably lose that 5% unless you manage to pick 2 items of the same price anyway.
Also if you shop from Myer enough to get the gift card rewards ($1 spent = 2 points, 2000 points = $20 gift card) it's an extra 2% off (unless my math is off).
Don't know what Toys 'r us loyalty program is like.
I'm going to neg this deal because if you order multiple items on checkout it adds the discount to the cheapest items. In other stores it matches an item with one of the same price or next most expensive.

Making the best deal from it means multiple orders and multiple shipping charges, hardly a way to save.
Other stores correctly match the products to achieve the greatest savings so in this case I think Toys "R" Us are us are being sneaky / slack to the detriment of customers.

I wonder if you can buy the ones you want plus ones you don't want, and return the others and keep the 50% stock? (Obviously you have to make sure that the 50% is applied to the stuff you want to keep). Or do you think that the register would auto correct for what you are doing?
Does anyone know which store still has Kombi in stock around Melbourne?
