  Outdated article. However, I think this is just Netflix attempting to scare VPN users to make the investors / entertainment giants happy.

  I seriously doubt that Netflix has the last word in this matter. At the end of the day they have agreements with the studios to which they have to stick.
  
  Why else wouldn't they advertise the US content everywhere and get more customers?

Wow modern day companies really need to learn to do what they can to prevent people just going to Bittorrent. If someone wants to pay for your service, just let them!
