Transporting a car 1500k's

Hey!
Anyone know of a cheap option to transport a car from the bottom to the top of QLD? .. I can't seem to find a cheap enough car carrier
Driving it isn't an option .. especially with flights as cheap as they are :)

It'll be cheaper to drive than flight + transporting car. 1500km isn't even that far.

  • Put an ad on Gumtree if you're willing to trust some backpackers to do it…

  • what have flight prices got to do with it? if you are travelling to the same destination as the car, and the car is roadworthy, the best way to move it is to drive it.

for anything over 2000km I would look at a car carrier (e.g. Perth to any other capital city), otherwise just fill it up with petrol, oil and coolant and drive :)

I don't know what you are expecting to pay for such a service. Looks like you have already done your research. It probably isn't a particularly well-traversed route - so car carriers aren't cheap. Cf Perth - Adelaide - friend had her car transported on that route and it only cost like $400 or something, due to the much lower demand for car carriers in that direction (to go from Adelaide to Perth though was easily four times as much!)

  • 2 day drive, 1 nights accommodation plus fuel. What sort of car?

  • Had Honda Jazz delivered Brisbane to Cairns last year by CEVa was ok cost $600.

I see reviews on them are very mixed.
