Introductory offer from Myer.
Prices will go to $49.95 for Voyager, $29.95 for Deluxe and $19.95 for legends after the offer is over.
As far as I know these have been the first official combiner releases for a long time (multiple different characters joining to make one bigger robot) and as such have been selling out fast. Target and Toys 'r us have hardly any left and toys r us have been selling them full price, target had a ~20% discount while the toys were out.
Personally my measure of if it's a bargain is if it's possible to sell it for profit on eBay and yep you can. Not that I'm trying to encourage Brodens .I hardly think the effort is worth it in this case anyway.
And for those who don't know you need either of the Voyager classes (Optimus Prime or Silverbolt) to form the body and one of each Deluxe class (Skydive, Alpha Bravo, Firefly, Dragstrip) to form the arms and legs. Of course you can get both Voyagers to change out the body when you feel like it. And apparently Powerglide (Legends class) forms the gun for Superion, the combined autobot figure. The rest of legends class is meh :p The current robots released in wave 1 aren't the complete robot (Superion) from the cartoons, but the toys feature something called 'scramble city' where you can connect any limb to any torso so you can mix and match them to make up your own robots.
Seems like most stores have the Voyager classes in stock, the Deluxe classes are running low. Myer city in Melb had none, when I talked to them yesterday the sales assistant said other stores in my area had 12 units (they're just listed as 'assorted' in their computer), and when I went in today to one of the ones in my area they had 2 units on the shelf and 3 in the back and managed to get the set after pestering the employee to look for them. So I'd suggest to get in quick if you're interested.
While I'm not sure with these because they're based on the old cartoon transformers instead of the new movie ones, but these are the kind of toys I'd go 'omg I had one of those as a kid.'
Note the big one in the pic is a Voyager class (phone is messing up my photos at the moment and that's the only I can grab off it)
