Hey guys in the market for a new drill kit.
Just found these two

I was originally leaning to the Milly but saw the AEG as well. I'm not fussed about the radio.
The AEG has 2.0 batts, the Mil has 1.5.
The AEG comes in a bag, The Mil comes in a case which I prefer.
I think the Mil is lighter/smaller?
What do you guys think?
They're both owned by the same company, which IIRC is a large Chinese firm.
From memory, the AEG has the longer warranty, but Milwaukee is considered the "trade" brand. Out of the gear that Bunnings sells, AEG would be one of the few brands that I'd buy, but I know tradies who use Ryobi on a regular basis with little complaint.
I've got that same AEG kit, and it's reasonable. The drill is fairly heavy, and doesn't have a belt clip, which is annoying, but the impact does. The impact is grunty for its size, but isn't as powerful as others, but for most jobs I think it would be adequate. The drill is a work horse and hasn't let me down yet, from drilling metal, brick, concrete, hardwood and using it to power a nibbler it's been faultless, just keeps plugging away. The charger is great, very fast, and generally the tools feel well made and the fact that older AEG cordless tools use the same batteries might be an advantage.
I don't have any experience with the Milwaukee kit, other than the company that owns it also, as I said owns AEG and also Ryobi.
Hope that helps.
