I've been in the market for a new AV receiver for a while, and went to The Good Guys in Preston to pick up the cheaper Yamaha YHT-1810B for $377. Sales guy ended up offering me a pretty decent deal on this WAY better unit, and I'm pretty stoked. Speakers are solid wood, not plastic, with multiple drivers in them. Sub is active (powered) instead of passive. Sound is pretty much fantastic. Receiver can be controlled with the Yamaha AV Connection app, and the amp is wired ethernet only, but the Yamaha wifi adapter is included as well.
6x HDMI in, 1x HDMI out, supports 4K and has AirPlay, active sub, Spotify and Pandora built in.
Includes:
* RX-V477 Network AV Receiver
* YST-SW030 powered subwoofer
* YWA-10 wifi adapter
* 5 x speakers
Far as I can tell, most TGG stores seem to have stock. Best price I could find anywhere online was $955, RRP seems to be $1,199.00. Good luck.
