Laptop for gaming around 12k?
Yes If you still want one at that price I'll sell you mine, with a Ozbargain discount of 25% (say $9K)
I would start at Dell's DFO. I did this ~18 months ago, it's approximately half the price of a new machine, and still comes with 1 yr warranty. It's worth waiting for a decent deal to come up, from memory they post the new machines on Mondays.
After that it's Logical Blue One or other Metabox resellers. They occasionally have sales with additional parts, but don't come with an OS.
Probably slightly outside your price range though, unfortunately.
Don't know why you were negged but here's a +1 to offset it.
It'll be for suggesting Dell.
It really varies for what model you get. Some models are relatively decent and others not so much. But yes the majority of Dell laptops are not good.
I purchased an Asus G550JK around June last year for about $1300. Great laptop and can run pretty much everything on max graphics. Can't seem to find any in that price range right now though.
Where did you purchase from, thx
I purchased it from ShoppingExpress, price is much higher now, I got it in an hourly sale which they seem to do every now and then.
I am using Asus X552LAV - SX394H 15.6 and it works great with high configured games.
I would have suggested something from http://www.logicalblueone.com.au/store/ but it looks like they've gone out of business, at least for the short term. I thought their deals were pretty good value so I hope they sort themselves out quickly.
I bought an Inspiron 7447 (graphics GTX850M) which handles games very well for the price. Purchased from JB hifi last year with a price match of dell at $1269.
I'm guessing you mean 1-2k? which is quite a big price range.
