Should've ended in "so…" :P
Do you get to keep them?
You can… if you know what you're doing, and how to do it. ;)
VCR? :-P
@muncan:
LOL! Shhhhhh… don't tell people my secrets. :D
They're Region 2 DVDs, so…
A lot of Region 2 DVDs are also coded for Region 4. I'm not sure if this is the case here.
I bought this set a while ago, can confirm the discs are region 2 only.
i would, but no blu-ray
"So….what. most DVD players are region adjustable.
I just got this code too not sure if targeted to account - also still have the WELCOME code for new registration (not sure if you can use both at once). Been tempted to get a few things but from previous comments (from other zavvi deals mentioned) the packaging from these guys is dubious at best - and this scares me enough not to buy from them but wait for amazon (or the like) to have a deal.
Dubious packaging? That reminds me of the time <insert Peter Griffin flashback>.
Code didn't work.
gd
It is on Netflix now. You just need to pay 11per month
And pay for eternity.
Use Hola chrome extension to access the US catalogue, it has way more shows
oh wow
Netflix US
Dvd so still overpriced…
$252 is beyond mental.
Physical media is dated, particularly DVD… but $48 del. is a decent price for those who feel they need something in their hands.
What media that you own exceeds bluray?
Did it need a hypen to be understood? The bloat in space & cost of dvd, hddvd, bluray… anything else to fill shelves is all dated & limited, yet at a premium to digital.
So in other words nothing is available that is better. Online downloads or streaming in terrible bitrate is not better.
with a show like family guy, i dont think you have to worry about streaming bitrate
@auna: You've got a ton to learn about digital media, and it can't be done here or in one paragraph. In 2015, it should already be known.
@Utopian: Show me proof. I have years to spend in regards to this and thousands of dollars in Bluray at stake. Prove to me a media choice of any kind is better. I understand 4k cinema media or 4k hard drive films sold by Sony is better as well as IMAX. 70MM film is sadly all but gone but easily eclipses even those and that was used in the 70's. That you would accept and prefer terrible quality streaming over bluray (which is somewhat lacking in 2015) is sad. Seriously prove it to me.
BTW Netflix is a joke. Constant removing of content removes them from even being a valid choice.
Only because the new box sets have season 12
Like the trap of buying the James Bond Box set… It becomes incomplete when the next instalment comes out.
At least some producers plan for it, for encouraging your purchase… like the UFC DVD boxes grouping 5 consecutive events. Wasn't always done.
There are volumes 12, 13, 14 and the Star Wars trilogy of the Family Guy also available. And always more to come, unless Fox decide to stop releasing the Family Guy on DVD like they did with the Simpsons.
Season 14 contains all the episodes from series 12. which aired September 29, 2013 - May 18, 2014.
Ordered it then thought twice. Cancelled order within 5 minutes and received notification from zavvi that cancellation was rejected. Will see if customer service does the right thing.
I did something similar before Xmas :
Ordered
Battlestar Galactica - The Complete Series
Planet of the Apes: Evolution Collection
The Tim Burton CollectionThen cancelled the order under a minute later because I found a better coupon.
Placed the order again, and waitedEnded up with No Apes (out of stock) but the other two shipped twice
Somehow though, my credit card was only charged for the first orderSo I ended up with a BSG and a Tim Burton set free
They're still sitting on the shelf in their packaging.
I should get around to putting them on ebay
251.99 lol ol.
I do like this show but its on FTA like 8 times week, why donate $50 to zavii?
Did you laugh out loud, out loud?
The Finn - will buy it off you for 20% discount :D i.e. $40 :)
Good price for physical copy but on Netflix (US at least) Family guy seasons 1-12 are available there to stream in HD so. :)
