Russian vodka

Not sure if this is allowed on ozbargain or not, but here goes.

I used to buy Tovaritch vodka from bws and Dan Murphys which is a really good Russian vodka from St Petersburg for $30.
They've recently stopped carrying it which is a shame because it was the best they carried.

Now I'm stuck with second rate Russian vodka and it gets worse!
Their range is now infested with French and British vodkas PRETENDING to be Russian!!!

What's your preference for vodka?
And more importantly, does anyone know where to get Tovaritch?

    I've never been able to tell the difference between cheap and "expensive" vodkas. So I usually just stick to the cheapest now.

    I had a look at Dan's site and reviews. Seems the OP is right - this is a really good Russian Vodka !

    I drink Absolut. Costco just stopped carrying it and replaced it with the much more expensive Grey Goose. I now have to buy from Dan Murphys. DM's prices fluctuate by up to $10 a week so it sucks having to buy from them.

    I boycott Russian based on LGBT rights violations (amongst other violations). If you want smooth & at a decent price, try Finlandia.

    Stolichnaya & sky vodka are really good and cheap about $32 a bottle

    I drink straight shots of vodka almost everyday and the Polish Zytnia Extra Vodka is pretty good. It's smooth and it's well priced:

    My another favourite is Absolut Currant but don't think they're around anymore.

    I had some amazing potato vodka in Poland, it was smooth as silk, you could drink it all day long, straight. It was called castle (but in Polish).
