Hi, setting up an IP CCTV system and am now looking for a HDD suitable. Been pointed to these two.
Looking at 4 or 3 TB, but maybe a 2 TB.
At this stage I'll have 4 1080 cameras rolling with a possible expansion up to 8.

Im using the WD purples, 2yrs on and still going.
Any idea what a good price is and where from?
Found 2TB at $135 and the 3TB for $165. Makes sense to get the 3TB. The 4TB jusmps up to $240ish
I've been using WD purples - no problems so far (only have several months under their belt - not years)
Although I also have a NVR system I bought about 5 years ago from China which came with a no-name HDD I assumed would break in 3 months, 5 years later this seems to still be working.
