Cheap scooter for commutes

First skateboarding, now scootering :)

I'm after a cheep scooter that I can simply zip around the city with and is portable enough to ride in a train or bus with. The wheels preferably should be 200mm or large enough to roll on the footpath, but it's not really neccessary for it to be super-ruggedised (e.g inflatable wheels) — it's only for the city / suburban areas.

Any ideas on what to buy?

    Scooter? Pfft.

Hit up our friends at Bang good. Why have two wheels when you can have one?

(I actually saw a guy with one of these in Sydney zip along yesterday. Part of me thought it was really cool. The other part of me wanted to see him face plant. Baby Jesus cries because I'm a bad person, I know)

    • I've seen a couple around Melbourne recently. Seem pretty cool, loot to be far more practical than a Segway

    • That's almost $400 & 10kg to carry on the train verses less than $100 & maybe 3kg for a cheap adult kick scooter. A lot less likely to faceplant as well (YMMV).

    • I love the description:
"With simple operation and sufficient battery range"
Sufficient? Wow, keep the superlatives under control there buddy.

  • A frame Razor scooters are better quality than the other cheapies, the ride is smoother
About $30 from kmart\target they might still have some on clearance because the new ones have light up wheels
