What looks like a screen, on the side, made me wonder if Logitech ever thought to add a little near-user Speaker, inside one of these, eg, for noisy work sites, so user can hear success or error signals better?

Doesn't look all that comfortable. G402 "Hyperion Fury" should be what you're after if you want a comfy mouse for FPS sessions. This looks OK for general use and a bit of MOBA but doesn't seem tailored specifically for everyday gaming.

Bought one of these at DSE a few weeks ago for ~$35 when they had their sale on Logitech gaming gear.
I mainly play league of legends and it's noticeably better for that style of game than my previous mouse (SS Kinzu). Seems strange to say but the right click (90% of clicks in a MOBA) is exceptionally balanced. I
I'd highly recommend if you like:
- Smaller mice
- Mobas
- You use fingertip gripFor other styles of games I'm not sure- gave it a whirl in SC2 and it seemed pretty good.
