ShoppingExpress Charges for Refund, Fee on PayPal Refund

After fighting with these people since 16/2 I have finally gotten a refund from them for a faulty Samsung 840EVO. Yeah real impressed, just under 2 months. So much for shopping locally for fast local warranty!

Got a payment through PayPal since a I paid via PayPal, now this morning I checked on PayPal site and behold, Shopping Express hasn't put refund through as refund, but as a payment and that I should pay the fee for this.

Fee amount: -$4.69 AUD

Reading the other post here on Ozbargain about their crappy/ non existing service it can only be a short time before they are banned.

    I have purchased a few times from Shopping Express in the past. Had an HP Microserver DOA on me, and had they resolved the issue in timely manner.

    Not sure why you were calling a ban, when many people have enjoyed their price and service here.

    Seems like an admin error to me. The cost to them is the same. Pm the rep to resolve imo

    Hi VVV,

    We can't stop paypal from charging for processing refund after 60 days but there should be another payment of $4.69 AUD from us to your paypal account - can you please check and confirm you've receive the right amount and there are no further charges from paypal?

      I agree with VVV. You shouldn't be charging to issue a refund, especially if you haven't made it clear to consumer prior to purchase (if this is the case, it's likely against the law to do so and consumer can take it up with local Consumer Affairs dept). You offer PayPal as a payment method, so you should cop their refund fees.

    You can choose who pays the fee for the money transfer, and in this case you choose me.
