Groupon Gift Cards - Still Haven't Received Them After 2 Months

My friend and I each bought a $50 gift card from Groupon back in January when there was a sale. However, it's been more than two months and we still haven't received them yet. I'm just wondering if anyone else is also experiencing this?

I've tried contacting their support but they have been useless.

I'd not buy any physical goods from them ever again. They refunded me after 2.5 months for something.

However the services like restaurants and massages can be nice if you buy carefully.

Yes, I have. And I have already asked for refund from paypal. So if you paid it by paypal then try to contact paypal to get your refund.

Never buy and trust from Groupon. You will hurt yourself.

  • Groupon is terrible dealing with customers. I like buy with them because their offers is better than most others and then Livingsocial. but always hope no problem when redeeming or receiving purchase from them. Just about had enough when dealing with them if problem arises

Give them a ring, they should arrange a refund.

Could we ask to ban Groupon here?

    They can not be trusted.

Although I've only been waiting 2 weeks since buying $1000 of Egift cards from Groupon, I've received nothing but an initial email which gave nothing specific regarding delivery.
Going to Paypal to request refund.

Think banning may be best too if this is their usual practice.
However what do you think about a rating system (like WOT in browsers) to establish a score on regular (business) posters?

  • I've only been waiting 3 weeks for some gift cards but repeated emails to Groupon are ignored or brushed over without answering WHY it takes them multiple weeks to send out THEIR OWN bloody gift cards, which they can essentially print ON DEMAND!

So really there's no reason they shouldn't have these out within a few business days - so it's pathetic nonsense from them.

I do tend to think they're using consumers funds almost like short-term loans, in that they take the funds for goods sold but very deliberately do not forward/purchase these goods themselves for a month plus so they essentially get the funds for a month for nothing.

May sound like ticky tack nonsense BUT over thousands and thousands of transactions it'd be worth millions of dollars to them and ask any small business owner about the value of cash flow to their viability.

I'm honestly done with Groupon, they're just clearly taking the piss out of consumers and have no commitment to a decent code of conduct.

  • Just wanted to say, after 2 weeks without hearing from Groupon regarding my $1000 eGift card order, I opened a resolution at Paypal and got the Giftcards the next day.
Coincidence, maybe but may speed things up.
