Demand Survey: 65" UHD 4K DP1.2 / HDMI2.0 @60hz TV / Monitor
I know a small South Korean company, specialized in making monitors.
They are going to launch a monitor of above specs, and doing a domestic demand survey on their website.
I am considering importing some from them. I will be shipping the TVs and handle the warranty - return/exchange/repair myself.
I have talked to them and they are indeed interested in exporting their products, so I want to do a survey here.
I mean they are a really SMALL business. They are going to produce only 50~100 units, depending on the result of the survey.
How many people would want a monitor of above specs, for around $2k?
If it's not a renowned brand(almost unknown), but quality is great and local warranty could be provided??
I know there are more important factors than refresh rate and resolution, but the specs are not clear now.
Panel specs should be pretty clear in a few days.
The monitor is under development, so it will take some time to actually be able to see the product, but it also means, if there are high demands of any certain feature, it might be added to the monitor.
I think it will have a DP port and a HDMI 2.0 port and may also have an inbuilt speaker so Audio input/output.
I assume final price will be around AU $2,000, or lower, depending on demands.
Please elaborate in the comment if there are any desired features etc… Thanks very much.
If you mention interest to buy in your comment, I will give you priority if/when this actually happens…
Of course, no obligations whatsoever :)
So it is a tv?
Doesn't really seem worth it. Sony 65in UHD have been on sale for $2500 on here.
This tv is an unknown brand, with unknown specs, no definite price, unlikely to have local warranty and unknown eta.
