Hi fellow ozbargainers,
Looking for advice on a new phone and provider. Currently I have a HTC sensation and am with amaysim, $44.90 prepaid.
I have been looking at the LG G3 at Optus for $50 a month, unlimited calls/texts and 500mb data. I like the camera on this one.
Is there anything else I should be looking at in the same price range?

It's a bit backward if you ask me. You can have a smart phone without minutes, you can't really have one without/next to zero data. That's why I choose unlimited weekends.
I don't see Optus fooling many with each downward revision, +fortunately Technology decisions are regulated by myself in this family.IMO a network-friendly Huawei Y550 as the your requirements may be conservative.
I unfortunately can not afford outright. And my phone is dying a slow and painful death.
Never heard of Huawei. Might look into it. Was hoping for a decent phone with a decent camera on a decent plan….is that asking the impossible? Or do I go for a cheaper outright and stay with amaysim?What is your max price per month?
Probably no more than $50…
If you can go up to $60/month? Optus has the htc one m8 with no handset repayment over 24 months.
Heaps of well specced Chinadroids in the $200-250 price bracket.
Xiaomi Redmi's?
Stay with prepaid! and that 500mb of data isnt going to get you much!
