495 Velocity points? If you don't have any Velocity points generate some through the Velocity eStore partners.
Quite poor value at 1c per point - better save your points and redeem with Singapore Airlines…
Terrible deal! Much better off using points for singapore airlines 40000 points is a trip to Europe one way
agreed, or save up for business class to europe :D
i actually think its a pretty decent deal, particularly for those wanting to fly to asia.
take this scenario:
a business class one way redemption on SQ syd - sg is 46750 miles (business saver after 15% redemption) PLUS $247 in taxes.
a business class (which really is a premium economy ticket) one way on Scoot syd - sg during morning glory tuesdays or using one of the scoot promos is btw $299 - 359 = 31895 - 37695 points ALL inclusive.
note that business saver tickets are usually hard to come by nowadays and SQ is now starting to fly more 777-300s and a330s to syd and melb. i think the scoot premium economy 787-9 is a decent comparison mate.
just my two cents.
Hmm okay. Thanks for the advice.
belongs in the forums, this is just a different way to redeem your points, it's not a bargain…
I agree
where to get an additional 300 points…..
